⚠ Read this first — this examiner tests your eyes, not just your memory

Four papers side by side reveal three habits so consistent they are effectively rules. All three punish students who learned an answer instead of a fact.

2. He deletes the answerSix times over, the correct name is simply not on the list, so “None of these” is the answer: the dramatic monologue without Robert Browning • Vergiss mein nicht without Keith Douglas • imagistic clarity without Imagism • Plath's relationships without father or husband • the Victorian dates without 1837–1901 • and Queen “Fictoria”, misspelt on purpose.Before answering from memory, check the right answer is actually printed. If it is not, “None of these” is real, not filler.
3. One option swapped“Imagism can be described as” — with indirect the key is objective; with direct it becomes Both A and C. “In a Station of the Metro consists of” — two lines or 14 words, depending which is offered. Expatriates went to Great Britain (country) or Paris (city).Read all four options every time. The option list, not the question, decides the letter.

And the LEAST / MOST pair. “Which genre was LEAST practised in the Victorian age?” → DRAMA. “…MOST practised?” → THE NOVEL. Same four options, consecutive questions, on three papers.

⚠ Two gaps between your handouts and your exams

1. A lecture the professor dropped is still being examined. Lecture 9 opens with a note saying he deleted Lecture 7 — Ezra Pound and Imagism and that it is not required. Do not believe it. The newest paper, 12 March 2026, takes thirteen of its forty questions from exactly that material. So does every older paper.

2. Two poets are examined with no lecture at all. There is no Larkin and no Plath handout in your set, yet all four papers set questions on them, and the August 2025 paper gives them seven of its fifty items. That material has been reconstructed for you from the papers and the poems — it is the last section of the Auden & War bank.

How to use this in the last week

  1. Day 1. Read The Poems, bilingual straight through. Two hours, and no “what does this line mean” question can catch you.
  2. Day 2. The All Previous Exams bank, filtered on ★★ On 2+ papers. That is the fixed pool he draws from. Get it to 100%.
  3. Day 3. Both Victorian banks. Dover Beach alone is worth fifteen printed items — do not skim it.
  4. Day 4. The Modernism & Imagism bank in full, whatever the handout says about Lecture 7 being dropped. Thirteen of forty on the newest paper.
  5. Day 5. The Auden, War, Larkin & Plath bank, paying particular attention to the last section — it is the part with no lecture behind it.
  6. Day 6. The ⚠ Key disputed filter across every bank, then the whole exam bank again, reading every trick note.
  7. The night before. The Cheat Sheet, printed. Nothing else.
