⚠ Read this first — half of this paper is one question in disguise

Research Methodology does not reward wide reading. It rewards exact definitions, fixed orders, and knowing which style does what. And roughly half the marks on the paper come back to a single comparison: APA or MLA? Learn that table as a table you can redraw from memory and you have already secured the largest block of marks available.

1. “Both b & c” is a real answer	Five of the fifteen MCQs offer a both or all option — and several are correct. The abstract and the introduction are written last; the abstract gives a first impression and may be the only part read.	The stem says “most accurate”. Test every option, then ask whether two are both true. But one false member kills a sweep — check before you take it.
2. APA versus MLA, endlessly	Which style needs a title page, which uses p., which uses commas, which is social sciences and which humanities, which needs a running head, which needs a Results section.	APA = social sciences, cares about the date. MLA = humanities, cares about the page. Every other difference follows from that.
3. He asks for the ORDER	The eight research steps • the nine parts of a paper • the order on an APA title page • the order of entries in a reference list • the order inside one entry.	Memorise each list as a numbered sequence you can recite. Reference lists are alphabetical, never in order of appearance.
4. Terms that sound alike	Implications vs limitations • results vs discussion • abstract vs introduction • plagiarism vs copyright infringement • question vs hypothesis.	For each term fix the ONE word that separates it from its neighbour. Implications look forward; limitations look inward.

And only half the paper is multiple choice. 50 marks are MCQs, but 14 are True/False, 16 are a matching table, 20 is a written comparison, and 20 is building one APA reference entry from scrambled elements. That last 20 is a gift — it is the same task every year. Rehearse Surname, I. (Year). Title in sentence case (nth ed.). Place: Publisher. until it is automatic.

How to use this in the last week

Day 1. Read the Bilingual Summary straight through, both columns. Two hours, and the shape of the whole subject is fixed.
Day 2. Work the All Previous Exams bank end to end — all five sections, not just Section I. It is the only real paper you have, and every item on it is a fact he has already chosen to examine.
Day 3. The APA versus MLA table, until you can redraw it from a blank sheet. Then the reference formats, until you can write the book entry, the edition entry and the journal entry without looking.
Day 4. The Golden Papers bank, filtered on High. Concentrate on the parts of a paper and the citation rules.
Day 5. The rest of the Golden Papers bank, plus the punctuation and italics sections — the mechanics are easy marks that students skip.
Day 6. The three ORDER lists, recited aloud: the eight steps, the nine parts, the APA title page. Then the seminar reference entry, five times from scratch.
The night before. The Cheat Sheet, printed. Nothing else.
